First time.

My sweet angel Carter. Nothing escapes his mouth. Which is why I had not attempted any type of coloring, paper, crayons, makers with him [this does not include those items that he has found on his own!]. But I thought we'd give it a shot yesterday since big brother was coloring.

It started like this.

And within seconds went to this.
So I thought i'd try a different one but this one was easier to grab and insert in his mouth.

And today was another first. First tantrum. Like he threw himself on the ground...

And then was mad that he was on the ground.

And screamed.

And cried.
But it was so funny and cute that I couldn't resist taking these. And it was only funny and cute because he's so little and I think it's so funny to see his personality coming through. And I know that it won't be so funny or cute in a couple of months when he's not so little and doing this on a regular basis.
But there sure is a first time for everything.

It's back!

Got my computer back this afternoon and finally got a chance to sit down this evening and check out all of the goodies on here! I was having withdrawls...

Our friend hooked us up and made the laptop faster and better! And I'm finally able to have Photoshop on here so I'm looking forward to playing with it and hopefully learning to use it quickly!

But for now I have more laundry to fold, sigh. I leave you with a shot of my baby boy from this past week. Looove him :)

little bitty break.

My computer is being hooked up. It was a tad slow and couldn't handle some of the programs I wanted to get on there so a friend of ours is doing some stuff to it to make it better (thats my way of explaining that I have no idea what he's doing to it, Rob talked to him and as far as I'm concerned all I need to know is it will be better and faster :)!).
So i'll be taking a blogging break since I don't have a computer at home. And then hopefully I'll be back at it, full force, and perhaps even getting back up with my 365 project...
And sadly, I don't even have a picture to post with this.

Toodles.

Mom*tog giveaways!

Several months ago I came across this blog, Mom*tog . It was shortly after I started blogging myself and was searching to see what sites I could find that might be helpful in learning about photography. It is SO awesome to have a site that is dedicated to moms that love to photograph their kids! The best part is that Drew is a professional photographer that takes amazing photos and has a sincere desire to help moms learn their cameras better. She's also a mom and understands juggling mommyhood and having her own business. I'm so glad that I came across this website!

AND since Mother's Day is coming up Drew is having a week of giveaways! Today there is a chance to win her new UNmanual, a guide to help moms like me. Wish me luck, it'd be awesome to win a copy of this :)

PS.Make sure you check out the site!

Before bed cuteness.

Just a couple of shots of the boys tonight before bed. I think the camera was encouraging the bed jumping even though I was repeatedly telling him not to...

Build A Bear.

Today is my niece's birthday- she turns 3! Three years ago, on April 29th, I drove up to Albany from Alexandria with my four month baby boy because I had a sisterly hunch that my sissy would go into labor on April 30th. Adriana's due date was May 2nd but being that it was a 6.5 hour drive, I wanted to be around a couple of days beforehand so that I wouldn't miss it. On April 29th at around 11pm my sister's water broke and after being in labor through the night- just like I guessed -Jocelyn was born on April 30th :) We have a special bond and I get my little girl fix with her.

This morning I helped Braden make her a birthday card. I'm a card person, probably because growing up my mom was big on getting everyone cards. Now as an adult I like recieving cards, I think it's thoughtful and nice. I like the way it feels when you get the mail and there is something in there besides a bill or an ad or some other junk and someone has taken the time to pick out a card for you. And I want to raise boys that are thoughtful and nice- that know the importance of making/buying a card and thinking of someone besides themselves.

Then this afternoon we took the kids to Build A Bear today to celebrate. It was my first time there and it was a cute experience. Braden picked a monkey (which he named Max) and Joce picked an owl (name has to be confirmed) and they got to help stuff them, place hearts in them, give them baths, and they even got birth certificates!

Looking forward to the weekend- great weather and a little party party with yummy food and cake tomorrow.
