Pumpkin Carving.

A couple of days ago, we had our second annual Casey/Shako pumpkin carving party. My sis and her hubbs cooked up a delish dinner and later on we spread a tarp in their kitchen and went to carving. The hubby's were quite detailed with the carving, wonder who the pumpkins were really for?? ;) This year, Braden requested a Batman pumpkin and daddy delivered!
Looking forward to dressing up and trick or treating- hoping this year it won't rain the entire night! Too bad daddy won't be around this year though. We have recruited Papa to help us make our rounds though.
Happy Friday!

Ordinary day.

Do you ever have one of those ordinary days that needs a little jazzin up?? Today was one of those days for us. We spent most of yesterday at home, all three Casey boys are sick. And in my book you can't spend two full days stuck in a house unless you absolutely have to. Today was a brisk, very breezy fall day. After the boys woke up from naps (actually Braden never actually got around to falling asleep, sigh) I decided to run out to the store and grab a couple of hellium balloons. We headed outside and ran around for a little while. It was nice to get some fresh air and burn some energy.

Here's a sneak into what balloons, bubbles, and the Casey's look like :)

Disturb Me.

"Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves. When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little. When we arrive safely because we have sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us, Lord."     Sir Francis Drake

Pumpkins and Ponies.

Let me first mention how much I miss taking my daily photos and blogging. I know that just because my computer is down doesn't mean I can't take pics- but the fact that I can't upload them and look through them each night has really discouraged me from doing so.

Last weekend we had a break from the rain and had a chance to visit a pumpkin patch. It was so much fun! It was my first time at an actual pumpkin patch. They had some animals and other little activities but you can't forget the apple cider donuts, yum!

And then just yesterday, we had another break in rain (seriously people, it rained for two weeks with just one day of sunshine in between!) and Grandma Arlene treated the kiddos to pony rides. It was so much more than I expected it to be. The kids got to see chickens, sheep, goats, bunnies AND ride ponies. They got to help brush the ponies, saddle them up, and then do all sorts of fun stuff with them. They rode, had them "run" a bit, did obstacle courses, and jumps with them. Braden was thrilled and I am always so surprised at how comfortable he is with animals. He kept hugging his pony "Root Beer" and saying "Hey buddy, this is going to be so fun!" I truly love experiencing new things with him- he gets so excited and really appreciates every part. Love him! Carter had a blast running around and licking rocks- yep, rocks.

Here are some pics!

man down.

My computer is toast. It went from acting weird and slow at times (by weird I mean it would restart itself like 100 times a day) to not working at all. At first I couldn't even get it to turn on, now it's giving me some story about something being corrupt. Since I do not own a money tree and I can not go out and buy myself a mac, i'll have to pray that my dad can fix it, soon.
This message comes to you from my hubby's BRAND new mac book pro. The one to which he won't let me upload 1000 photos to everyday. sad face.
